cc: Irony ore mine given that it's coming from an embittered failson whose highest achievement in adult life is making the front page of r/cringe when he got his mother to comment on the size of his organ on Facebook.

What is it that makes social Darwinism so attractive to people who would almost undoubtedly be labelled as society's refuse?

What? I'd love to hear this story haha

Check your PM folder.

CC me on this?

I'm gonna ask to be involved in this.

Me as well... o.O

Wulfric's truly damning and game-changing indictment™ of Assaultana™

Yesterday's election was a truly scary indictment of the people of Montana. A majority of the population said with their vote that assault is a good and honorable thing. That they want to live in a world where you're supposed to body slam people whenever you please. That they want to celebrate that kind of behavior by electing those who commit it. They are truly a terrible populace. I commend myself for pulling out of my own Assaulterforte endorsement less than an hour after the incident occured, but the people of Montana clearly felt otherwise, with many saying that the incident had only made their support for Assaulterforte more enthusiastic. It is truly sad that there exists even one state in this country where people are celebrating assault.

And while Assaulterforte's apology in his victory speech was a step in the right direction, the fact is that he and his campaign gravely lied about the incident in its immediate aftermath, that his committing of such an action makes me concerned that he will do similar things in congress, and that there may be legal consequences for his actions. It is very difficult to see the sorts of circumstances in which I would endorse him for anything in the future.

I will also take this opportunity to pledge that I will never live in Montana, or as it should be called, Assaultana, no matter what incentive one may give to me. This election shows that is truly a despicable place, and is worthy of any and all scorn and insult.

Re: the bolded part: Wait, there are actually people who talk this way?

I don't remember that evergreen used to be this terrible of a poster. It really seems like she's gotten much worse.

As with Runeghost (who has now gotten better since his tempban, from the little I've seen of his recent posts), Trump's victory seems to have driven her off the deep end.

I'm not so sure about that, tbh.  IIRC, Evergreen always had a nutter/trollish streak to her (ex: I think there was some sort of controversy about her repeatedly advocating the legalization of bestiality, but I forget if it was in a serious discussion or just some sort of Atlasia nonsense) well before 2016 and that what really changed with her after the 2016 Presidential election was that the posts started getting much more vicious in nature as opposed to just being disturbingly out there (ex: her post calling ExtremeConservative the product of a failed abortion).  While the post about ignoring terrorist attacks is obviously horrible, I'm not sure it was really all that different from the sorts of posts Evergreen would make every now and then prior to the 2016 election.  The more I think about it, Evergreen isn't so much a poster who went off the deep-end after 2016 as she is a poster who always had some horrible views and settled down for a bit only to relapse into nasty sh!tposting troll mode after the election.

No, we really don't.  In fact, the last thing the country needs is for the Democratic Party to hand over the reigns to sociopathic scum like Alan Grayson and Tulsi Gabbard.  Next thing you know, folks will start saying we need a "liberal Trump" *cringe*

Sociopathic scum like Alan Grayson > Sociopathic scum like Dick Gephardt

And if liberal Trump you mean "Guy who embarrasses his party establishment all the way into the White House riding a wave of populist sentiment and base appeal" than hell yes.

Republicans are literally profiting from demolishing healthcare in the US, yet we'll yell a bit more about Russia.

Newsflash: People are concerned with keeping  their jobs than the Russia hysteria. There's people working two or three jobs who still aren't making enough, yet you'll scream about Russia till the moon falls into the damn sea. Seriously, the solution to everything is Russia, it seems. Dems lost an election? Russia. Bernie Sanders saying you need to move left or you'll keep losing? Russia sympathiser. Stub your toe getting out of bed in the morning? Russia. That's the level it's gotten to.

People are worried about their jobs. People are worried about their healthcare. People are worried about putting food on their tables. Yet, Democrats won't hammer Trump on these issues because it means giving ground to the left, so they keep screaming "RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA" every time something goes wrong. If 2018 doesn't go well for the Democrats, I guarantee that they'll blame Russia, the left, or both.

Start focusing on the damn issues already. Talk about healthcare, the minimum wage, Wall Street reform, etc. Democrats are better on those issues than Republicans are. But no, that means the left gets a foothold in the party, and we can't  have that. Gotta protect Booker and the other Third Wayers.

Sorry, did you mean to post this in the Simple Truths gallery?

OK let me break down all the stupidity in this post:

1-It was in response to a NYTimes story about officials of the Trump campaign meeting with a Kremlin-related lawyer. Not a DNC press release or statement by any Democratic politician. Thus making most of it a non-sequitur.
2-Bernie Sanders is an anti-Russia hardliner as well.
3-"The Democrats aren't attacking the Republicans on healthcare", OMG give me a f[inks]ing break.
4-It's impossible for Cory Booker to be Third Way, since he wasn't a politician when Third Way was even a thing. It's 2017, not during the Tony Blair or Bill Clinton administrations.
5-For that matter, this is what Cory Booker has said about healthcare and the minimum wage:
http://www.nj.com/essex/index.ssf/2017/05/sen_booker_rallies_for_newark_airport_workers_wage.html
https://www.booker.senate.gov/?p=issue&id=69
6-The entire premise is a logical fallacy that implies that it's impossible to both attack Trump for Russia connections and attack him on the issues that absolutely no Democrats are doing both.

Something, something Democrats EVULZ.

Also:

Completely agree with him. If these folks keep using drugs time and time again, it should not be on society and taxpayers to keep them alive. This is not like having cops or EMTs carrying epipens or portable defribilators on clean folks having a reaction or heart troubles. These are people that made the choice to get hooked and stay hooked knowing the potential deadly consequences.

Libertas is a fine, upstanding member of the AAD community, highly regarded, who has proven himself to be wholly reformed and seeking forgiveness from his past iniquities. He's simply an all around great guy with a lot (and I mean A LOT) of impactful insights to share.

Recently I've come to realize that he deserves to post here much, much more than at AAD. His posting style is more fitting and his words would no doubt instill a sense of wonder and awe in the new crop of Atlas posters.

He also does the maps sometimes, once, I heard? I have come to recognize that that kind of thing gives your collective scrote the goosepimples. He should post here! Exclusively, even! Unban The Man!

Even worse in context:

Jeez guys. First, Hitler youth did not do anything wrong, because they were kids. So comparing these kids to them really shouldn't be seen as objectionable. And it's inaccurate to say that it's comparing them to Nazis because those kids didn't have a political party. (Even if their parents said they were "Nazis" they didn't choose that.) Second, I took the comparison as being between Trump's actions and Hitler's actions. So complain about that if you want. But don't over exaggerate what he said. Kids are impressionable and it's not a slight against them to point that out. It's just life.

Stanton would be an infinitely better candidate.  I'm not sure why folks want Sinema to run and potentially blow one of our few good opportunities to pickup a Senate seat this cycle.

Gay atheists today, gay atheists tomorrow, gay atheists forever!
- Sinema used to be a spokeswoman for a group that was literally founded to support Palestinian terrorist liberation groups during the first Intifada (btw, Sinema has a long history of advocating anti-Israel policies and generally being an apologist for groups like the PLO, idk if this remained the case after she got elected to Congress though)
The fact that this is considered a liability shows how much we've decided to abandon what's right in favor of a prophecy in a fiction book written thousands of years ago.

Call me old-fashioned, but I always considered deliberately blowing up civilians and using the cold-blooded murder of non-combatants as a political strategy to be terrorism.  Then again, I also have this crazy idea that maybe...juuuuuuust maybe, it's wrong to try to blow up school buses filled with innocent children, so what do I know?
Israel has more blood on its hands. It's unfortunate, but some of those things are necessary to send a message.

How about naming it after no one to start with?

That would be too civil and dignified for Atlas.
