Americans Support Gun Rights Over Gun Control -Pew Poll Shows

Asking whether it is more important to protect the right to own guns or to control gun ownership is a terrible way to phrase a polling question about support for gun control.  Far more people support various individual gun control measures than the term "gun control."  It's a little like Obamacare in that way.  How you ask the question significantly influences the result.  There probably has been a bit of a drop in support for certain gun control proposals, but I doubt it's been anywhere as big a drop as this poll suggests.
