Do you think are most likely to see their careers torpedoed by a completely random/unexpected scandal the like Foley, Redel, Walsh, Jackson Jr., etc in the near future (say the next four years)?

- Bob Brady
- Corrine Brown
- Sheila Jackson Lee
- Vern Buchanan
- Jim Renacci
- Sam Graves
- Cathy McMorris-Rogers
- Lee Terry
- Bob Menendez
- Ted Cruz

Obviously nothing will happen with most of these, but I could see one of them imploding by November 2016 due to a major scandal.

Surely the very nature of a random scandal means it can affect any politico?

Not to discount this thread, but that was my first thought, too.

^^^ Exactly. Do you know something the rest of us don't, Mr. X? Tongue

Well, I know Graves had to be basically dragged into a personal meeting with Boehner to tell him to stop being so...err...friendly with female lobbyists Tongue

I wouldn't include Corrine on this list. For one, no scandal is unexpected; she gets into trouble too often to surprise anyone. Also, no amount of scandal could sink her career. The only person who would have a chance of beating her WITH lots of scandals is busy being Jacksonville's mayor.

Good point, that was why I left off Rengel.  I guess that could also apply to Lee.  To answer Vega's question: no, Menendez has just always struck me as a sketchball in much the same way as Brady.
