Southland Tales

Had some decent moments, but the whole thing was basically Richard Kelly screaming, "Look at me! I'm so full of myself!"

Hellboy II

Didn't really understand or care about the plot, but it was amusing and had a couple of cool action sequences.

Wall-E

Pixar owns you.

Yeah, but I didn't pay much attention to it. I was too busy thinking how many trailers they'd show us with Michelle Yeoh.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure

Words are superfluous when it comes to describing this cinematic masterpiece.

The Incredible Hulk

Gotta love how the army chooses to take down Edward Norton in midtown Manhattan where by far the most amount of casualties and collateral damage could occur. And then on top it, they engage him with M16s and .50 calibers. Sort of reminded me of Transformers where they randomly drive from the Hoover Damn to downtown Los Angeles where the most carnage could ensue.

Pineapple Express

Another winner from Apatow and Co., but I wish Amber Heard had been given more screen time

Rainman

very well acted but overlong and a somewhat cliched message.

Tropic Thunder

Entertaining.  Tom Cruise sure has come a long way from Risky Business.

Smart People

God, Ellen Page's character was such a bitch in that movie. What kind of a seventeen year old has a picture of Reagan on her bedroom wall yet tries to make out with her uncle? She was still really hot though and played her character well.

So she wasn't a Republican version of Juno basically?

I'm wondering where I should put that on my Netflix queue.

eh, they're somewhat similar (both are quirky and witty). But the movie isn't really about her (although she's the one who's being marketed, for obvious reasons); it's about Dennis Quaid and Sarah Jessica Parker. It's difficult to say whether or not I enjoyed it but the story is a little contrived.

Requiem for a Dream

just saw it...I am pretty destroyed by it right now...

seriously I am absolutely done...  how do we send heroin addicts to jail?  in the USA?  how?  tantamount to torture...  I have nobody to talk to about it... I am absolutely alone

why on earth would you voluntarily watch that film (especially alone)

Quantum of Solace, finally

meh. It was way too Bourne-esque. definitely lacked the personality and sophistication of Casino Royale. Passable entertainment and certainly superior than the sh**t churned out at the end of Brosnan's run, but it won't have a special place in my heart like most other Bond films.

Adventureland. Good fun. Jesse Eisenberg = Michael Cera

Kristen Stewart's character is basically the first ever 80s emo character I've ever seen in a movie.

would have been cool if she popped in a Moss Icon tape into her car's cassette deck

Crank 2

it was alright; I enjoyed the first one a lot more. This one was a little too Family Guy-esque with the randomness

Top Gun was PG after all. (granted in 1986, there was no Pg 13)

first PG-13 movie was Red Dawn in 1984

Isn't it like four hours or something ridiculous like that? That's another Lynch movie that haven't got around to watching...

~ 180 minutes. It was just so bizarre and nonsensical. Haven't seen any other Lynch films, so I can't really compare it to his others, but Inland Empire was really underwhelming....

RocknRolla - Guy Ritchie delivers, as usual

Dazed and Confused - haha, now I want to grow my hair out really long again. Huge lol @ 1993 Ben Affleck and Matthew McConaughey

Terminator Salvation

a lot of cool perks for fans of the series, but meh, kinda pointless. It was only vaguely interesting throughout.

You actually saw it?

I was high and had consumed ~ 2/3rds of a Forty, so, coupled with the $3 price tag at the discount theater, it seemed like a pretty good idea at the time.

I wonder what would have happened if the prawns had landed over like Stockholm or Reykjavík. Hard to imagine the Scandinavians forcing them into concentration camps.

But I liked it. sort of like Blood Diamond mixed with like Half-Life or F.E.A.R.

Inglorious Basterds

spoilers below

yeah, best supporting actor nomination for Christoph Waltz. Mélanie Laurent was awesome too, although her death scene was kinda gay/too predictable. only part of the movie I didn't like.
