I do believe space exploration is a worthy long-term goal, but our budget is under stress right now. So perhaps we should freeze funding for this for the next few years, or at least cut it, while allowing that cut to expire when our deficit is lower so we can further our exploration of the universe and our scientific understanding.

I was going to abstain too, but the vast majority abstaining would be silly. I'm not comfortable with this bill, so even though I get where it was coming from, this is my decision-
