Ugghh he flip-flops on his own good announcement in which he stood up for legal immigration.

“Utah welcomes legal immigrants from around the world, Washington sends immigrants a message of exclusion,” Romney said in his announcement video in February. “And on Utah’s Capitol Hill, people treat one another with respect.”

How does he think this helps him?!

Good...

Romney is tougher on illegal immigration than Trump but more supportive of legal immigration.

Not sure why this surprises so many people...Romney's biggest beef with Trump was over his personal qualities, not major disagreements on policy. Romney is and always will be a Republican.

Oh, I guess that might actually make sense. He was talking about legal immigration in his announcement, so presumably he just wants to deport the Dreamers but not get rid of chain migration. If true, he may actually believe the whole "Illegal immigration is bad because it breaks the law and hurts legal immigrants" rather than Trump's "We don't want the Hispanics & Mexicans!"

There’s a huge difference between LEGAL Immigration and ILLEGAL Immigration

Legal Immigration = Good

Illegal Immigration = Bad

Trump wants to cut legal immigration.  So what's supposed to be more hawkish than that, actually?  Killing them on spot?

To be fair, Romney seems opposed to Trump's position with his whole 'we love legal immigration' shtick.
