Day 47: Denmark

Babette's Feast- First subtitled movie I ever saw. Its about a woman from Paris who moves to a village of Danish Calvinists (or Mennonites or something) who are very old fashioned, they don't like her but then she cooks them a fancy French meal, I forget what happens after that, they all live happily ever after?

Number The Stars- One of my favorite books when I was a kid. I'm sure some of you guys have read it (in school of course )

Overall an awesome little country. They've had some rough times recently, but they are one of the best places in the world, compared to most societies. They eat a lot of fish.

Overall an awesome little country. They've had some rough times recently, but they are one of the best places in the world, compared to most societies. They eat a lot of fish.

Where do you get the fish thing from. We eat a lot of pork and beef, but fish is today quite expensive and not that common anymore. In the old days it used to be poor man's food, but those days are long gone.

Its just a stereotype of what Americans think Scandanavians eat. I wasn't stating it as a fact.

My Dad said that Europeans don't eat as much beef (steak) as Americans because they don't have the land for cattle.
