The fact that the Republicans here have more respect for Reagan than Lincoln shows how far they've sunk (morally if not politically).

Apparently you feel it was more important to defeat a dying system of gov't (communism) than to actually free people from slavery.

If Lincoln had been president in 1985, he would have declared communism illegal in the USSR but not in the US Tongue

...and then he would have imprisoned all the communists in the US anyway.
