Biography: William Reinhardt Esser was born to Karl Esser and Lorraine Atkinson, a working class couple in Morganville. During his childhood, he and his family would be persecuted by the Blakelee regime because of his German heritage. After the regime fell, they would begin to bring in enough money to send William to school and later, Lamarna National University. While at University, he would first begin getting involved in politics by joining the student wing of the Labor Party and supporting Nelson Crane's leadership bid. Once his studies ended, he would be hired as a Floor Manager at a factory in Morganville, but would later be laid off after the labor reforms in 1987 due to his closeness with trade unions. When the Civil War broke out in 1988, he would join the rebels and eventually serve under Jack Aldun. After the war ended, he would found a construction company that would rebuild much of Morganville. After seeing that many of the old industries within Morganville weren't returning, he decided to run for Parliament. Because he felt that the Left was abandoning it's working class roots and his friendship with Aldun, he would run for Parliament as a member of the New Alliance.
