Nashville, Tennessee

Hi, my name is diptheriadan and this is my office. Here is where I will handle most of the affairs regarding policy and government. Every once in a while I will release a poll gauging the support for various issues that I may encounter in my time in office. Every week or so whenever the Chamber is in session, I will release a small report on what was voted on, what will be voted on, my concerns, and my reasons for voting.

Polling-
None Just Yet

Reports on Legislation-

I apologize for putting effective governing over bickering politics.

Report for Dec. 28-Jan. 9-

Collaborative Regional Symbols Act-
I voted AYE on this bill because I think that it will help develop Southern culture. There really are no downsides to this bill. It’s troll-proof.

New Holidays Act-
I voted AYE on this bill for the same reasons as the bill above. I really only have one problem with the bill, and it’s that it’s a bit thin. Nonetheless, it’s a good starting point for the creation of other holidays.

Blue Law Cessation and Alcohol Standardization Act-
I am opposed to this bill. I simply think the it should be left up to communities on how they want to run their communities. To my understanding of the process of how alcohol and other things are prohibited and allowed. It’s through elected officials, elected by the communities that they’re affecting.

Barronelle Stutzmann Act-
I am conflicted on this bill. On one hand, I like how it advances liberty. On the other hand, since the enactment of bills that make business owners serve and hire minorities, there has been a clear decline in racism. If you want to try and convince me of one way or the other, just message me.

Privacy is a Good Thing Act-
I am currently opposed to this bill. It’s not that I want the police to use drones, but that I want it to be an option. I would be in favor of more oversight in order to prevent mini-tyrants from rising up.

Campus Carry Act-
I voted NAY on this bill. I opposed this bill for a combination of two reasons. 1) I don’t think the Southern government should have any authority of the matters of private universities. In a message exchange with my colleague, Ben Kenobi, he stated that the bill only had authority over Public universities. I have yet to verify this, but if it is true, I apologize for not bringing the matter up in the Chamber. And 2) There has been no evidence pointing to a decrease in crime in areas where gun laws are relaxed and there has been evidence pointing to the opposite. Most college students are at peak crime age and their brains are still in the process of developing. I just don't think letting them carry around firearms would be a good idea.

Debate with OneJ_-
Me and OneJ_ are going to debate on the 11th of January. Within this debate, we will discuss various issues including Activity and Race Relations within the South. Speaker of the House of Representatives, NeverAgain, will be moderating.

Once again Diptherian has shown that he doesn't care at all for the south.

Care to explain to the public why you voted "NAY" to this bill?

Simple. I want to take the problem out at it's roots. You can't have an abortion if you don't get pregnant first, so the obvious first step is to prevent said pregnancy.

Which explains why your amendment bans at 18 weeks as opposed to 14? Sorry, that won't fly.

If you sincerely believe that abortion is wrong, you should support the 14 week abortion amendment.

Because a ban at 14 weeks wouldn't fly with the left wing of the chamber. For the life of me, I do not understand why you're so opposed to sexual education and cheaper contraceptives.
