i guess in a way i hope it was just a story.  because if it wasnt, it means that he was stricken with brain cancer.

however, making up such an illness is pretty low down.  i dont understand why anyone would do that.

I don't think were are being fooled on this one, This is true maybe the reason we haven't heard any updates is because nothing has changed in Yate's condition. Also when Yate's went down hill pretty quickly,Cancer tends to take courses like that for example my grandmother had lung cancer and we the doctors thought they had it under control due to the recent tests at the time and everything, So they sent her home from the hospital, The next week she was dead.

The latest email, sent today, was sent from an AOL account.  That doesn't mean anything, but the timing is suspicious.

I just sent an email to the three email accounts I didn't recognize from the recipients header.  So far, two of them have bounced as undeliverable.  The remaining, belonging to a Robert J. Elliott, is probably an Atlaser I don't know.  That, or there just happens to be someone with his email address.

In other words, yeah, we've been had.

Why would somebody do this. If this was an Atlas member they need to be banned.

two things baffle me about this situation.

1.  yates was a well respected poster.  no offense, but i dont think any of us would have been shocked if dwtl had pulled a stunt like this.  but when someone like yates does it, it is shocking.

2. he was a member of the board for quite a while before the hoax.  so obviously he didnt join the board for the sole purpose of pulling this hoax.

This also the last person I would expect to pull something like this.

People don't recover from AIDS, and, while any STD might be embarassing, no other STDs come close to killing people who have the means to routinely post on forums in the US.

And especially not when they're executives who make six-figure incomes, as Yates has claimed to.

He claimed to be something like that?

Something that adds a little more suspicion, how many 26 year olds have such incomes?

The same question I was asking. Also wouldn't he be more older and experienced in business to have an income like that.

Also when did Yates say this?
