I read about teachers yesterday in Oklahoma. I was heartbroken at the fact that many of these teachers literally work around so many different jobs regularly. One of the teachers taught Algebra in high school, drove a bus in the afternoon, coaches wrestling, coaches football, umpires little league baseball, and does driving services such as Uber and Lyft. Even after all of this, he said it brings home
$36,000 a year after taxes.I don't know how y'all feel, but it seems pretty ridiculous that so many hard-working people aren't doing very well at all. It's very ironic to me that some of the politicians that supposedly value hard work (and at times, call out the lazy) also refuse to give these determined people what they actually deserve.
