And yes, I'm proud. When McCain cast his yes MTP vote, I stood by him and called him a war hero. My faith in him is vindicated. He acted with courage, and the Gipper will receive him warmly in God's Heaven when the time comes.

When history is accounted for, when the books are read out in a century, we will remember the likes of John McCain and Ronald Reagan. Trump, even now, slouches towards the ash heap of history, an overweight slob who has little to add to the public discourse. Time will be glorious to the memory of St. John Sidney McCain, III, of immemorial fame.

Today, the world found out that the moral center belonged those of us who raised our banners against Trump. But we knew that all along.

Terrible post.

As an actual Reagan conservative with respect for the way we used to sell an agenda, used to do things, I must say I have no regrets for saying this.

Trump is no Reagan and this vote shows it, in spades.

Except, Mccain/Murkowski/Collins are cut more from the Bush Sr. cloth rather than the Reagan cloth.

All of the supposed staunch conservatives supported this bill.

So, if there is a return to republicanism, is that a suggestion that it be more in the make of liberal republicanism?
