We should make allowance for democrats in inhospitable territory. The fact that die hard GOP states like the Dakota's and Nebraska send Dem Senators to DC is a near miracle. Therefore they should be accorded some "room".

So Nelson, Dorgan, Conrad can vote Yes for Alito and i wont have any complaints.

Landrieu can also vote Yes as she has had her state ripped up and chewed out and has hardly anybody left to support her.

But anyone else. Pryor, Lincoln, Bayh, Bingaman NO WAY.

Now if Lieberman votes Yes then i think the dems need to do something about it. So its time to put pressure on him.

Lieberman, Joseph I.- (D - CT)

Please do something about it.  Tell him to switch parties and join the top of the ballot with the most popular Governor in America.  That'll really show us.

Joe Manchin?
