Elizabeth Warren for Progressive Leadership (Turn 2)
Part 1 - debate

Despite a strong effort by the Progressives to join government in 2012, the Liberals passed you over for the Conservatives when choosing who to make a coalition with. Why do you think that happened?

Elizabeth Warren's Victory Speech

My fellow Americans, dear volunteers, my friends,

all votes have not been counted yet, and it is still very, very close, but it seems that we have won the Iowa caucus! *Cheers* Let me first thank my fellow competitors, who have all been running motivated and inspiring issue-based campaigns, and who have been treating each other not like opponents or enemies, but like friends and colleagues, who fight for the same values and the same progress in our society. *Cheers* And now, I want to thank all volunteers who made this campaign strong and let us clear the first hurdle for leadership of the Progressive Party of America. *tumultuous applause*

In the last few weeks campaigning across the country, we have made clear who we are and what we want. We are a movement which fights for a Progressive Party which is building bridges and is ready to assume responsibility on the one hand, but has irrevocable ideals and self-confidence on the other hand. This victory today is not just a victory for Elizabeth Warren. It is a victory for the single mother fighting for her children and herself, it is a victory for the nurses and the janitors, for the plumbers and the teachers, for everyone, who puts huge effort in his job and makes America a better place to live, it is a victory for the girls and women who have to fight against the structural sexism in this country, it is a victory for everyone who gets discriminated because of his or her gender, the color of his or her skin or his or her sexual orientation. *tumultuous applause*

This victory has encouraged me to continue our fight for a more fair and progressive country. The momentum is on our side. And now we are going to carry this fight to New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada, and we are going to win, we are going to clinch the nomination and we are going to built a new America. Thank you! *Cheers*

Statement from Elizabeth Warren in Response to the Death of Larry Sanders

With huge dismay and deep grief I learned today that my competitor, my long-standing colleague and my close and trusted friend, Mr. Bernard Sanders, has to face the tragic loss of his loved brother, Larry Sanders. I want to express my condolences and my deepest sympathies to Mr. Bernard Sanders and his family. This shall not be the time of great campaign rhetoric and competition. I will reduce my campaign events in the next few days in deference to Mr. Sanders' period or mourning and reflection, and also I expect my fellow competitors for the leadership of the Progressive Party to do so. I know Mr. Sanders toughness very well and I am sure that Mr. Sanders will recover from this tragic occurence soon. I want to encourage him in this challenging and difficult period.

TV-Ad "American Values"

I am very concerned about the state of this country. Conservatives and nationalists are talking about American values without making it clear what those values are. I will do so.

Freedom. That all men and women are able to work hard to follow their dreams and that no one can tell them what they should do, or what they shouldn't.

Equality. The fact that the American ground promises everyone the same rights – but also the same duties. No matter which gender, no matter which race, no matter which age, no matter which income. Everyone shall be equal.

Democracy. The fact that America has a parliament and a government of the people, by the people and for the people. The fact that no one can tell the American people who their leader shall be.

Conservatives and nationalists had a good reason not to tell you what our values exactly are.

Families in this country are struggling against the huge financial burden and against the daily challenges of life. Children who grow up in lower-class families often have no perspectives for the future, no matter which dreams and abilities they have. While 60 percent of the new income goes directly to the top one percent, one third of all children in the United States live in poverty. The American dream, which made the United States strong, is dead. This is where fiscal conservatism leads to.

Women and minorities are still structural disadvantaged. Hispanic, black or female workers are still not paid equally, no matter how hard they work and no matter how much effort they put into their job. White males make up a significant larger share of the House of Commons than they do in the population. Young girls and minority children get discouraged and underestimated. This is a result of conservative policies.

The influence of lobbyists and big companies on our political system has never been bigger than it is today. They spend millions and billions of dollars into campaigns of candidates they want to lead the country. Motivated young candidates with fresh ideas have no chances. The will of the people doesn't matter anymore. This is not how a democracy should look like. This is a system which prefers conservatives, nationalists and liberals. That parties the big bosses like the most.

We need a change. Vote for American values. Vote for Warren. Vote progressive.

I'm Elizabeth Warren, and I approve this message.

Press statement February 7th, 2016

The North Korean government has proven once again that it is obviously not interested in international agreements and contracts. The recent missile testing is a breach of international law and not compatible with a membership in an international confederation whose goals are world peace and dignity for everyone on this planet. Instead of facing the poverty and famine the North Korean people have to deal with, the government spends millions of dollars in improving their military and developing advanced weapons. This incident has encouraged Deputy Leader Warren to continue her candidacy for leadership of the Progressive Party, setting human rights as a moral compass for foreign policy a major priority of her agenda. In the next government, Mrs. Warren will make the violation of human rights a top issue the international community has to face with. North Korea has been a constant threat for global security for years. It is unacceptable that many governments, also the U.S. government, ignore the current state of affairs until the issue comes up in the media.

New Hampshire reaction speech

My dear friends and supporters.

First of all, I want to congratulate my dear friend Bernie Sanders for his great success today, winning the New Hampshire primary tonight. -applause- Now, people expect me to give a concession speech. It might be true that I didn't get the most votes in New Hampshire, I expected that. But that does not mean that we can not celebrate a victory tonight. I want to tell you why.

We have outperformed every single poll for New Hampshire, beating the latest poll by not two, not three, but by five percent points! -cheers-

Secondly, new polls show us ahead in Georgia, in Massachusetts and in Texas, we are within the margin of error in Virginia and we have a good shot in Nevada and South Carolina! -cheers-

And last but not least, we have secured our momentum, we have run the helluva campaign the last weeks and now we have surged in the national polls, sharing the first place with Mr. Bernie Sanders! -cheers-

And now we have had enough of talking, we have had enough speeches, now it is time to go out and work, work for a change, work for a political revolution, work for a new and better country, work for justice and prosperity for everyone! Thank you! -cheers-

campaign upadate

Due to Bernie Sanders high poll numbers in that state, Elizabeth Warren has never expected to win New Hampshire. Her really good result – the latest poll predicted 15% for her – came very surprisingly. She gained momentum and is now as popular as Leader Sanders in the national polls. She now plans to use this momentum to gain ground in the Super Tuesday states which show her at first place or just by a few percentage points on the second place.

Elizabeth Warren also plans to intensify her campaign in South Carolina and Nevada, hoping for a boost like the one which brought her to 20 percent in New Hampshire. She also expects a victory in her home state of Massachusetts, Georgia, Texas and Virginia. A huge swing in Minnesota and Colorado are unlikely, but possible. Her goal is to be the candidate who wins the most Super-Tuesday states. The schedules are going to tighter, the campaign also plans to involve more surrogates. The campaign wants to draw a picture of Elizabeth Warren who is both steadfast and diplomatic. It will also address more foreign and economical issues to prove that Elizabeth Warren is able to be in charge of a country.

Meanwhile, the campaign has opened campaign headquarters in every Super Tuesday state and has opened six regional headquarters headquarters across the country with supreme privileges. The focus on social media and internet advertisement proved as a good strategy to attract especially young voters. That includes not just an official campaign website/facebook page/twitter account, but also pages with content supporters and volunteers which are monetary supported by the Warren campaign. That massive outreach effort was worth is. Another campaign strategy, the door-to-door campaign in which supporters can register themselves and campaign throughout their neighborhood, has achieved good results in New Hampshire and will be expanded in the other states.

TV-ad "Get involved!"

Mark Ruffalo
Hi. I'm Mark Ruffalo. You saw me in the role of Hulk in the movie “The Avengers” or from “Shutter Island”. To be honest, I was part in a lot of movies and I really like to be the center of attraction. But now I am talking to you to place a friend of mine in the spotlight: Elizabeth Warren. Elizabeth Warren is one of the politicians I trust to create a country in which I would let my children live in. She is the only politician who not just dares to ask uncomfortable questions, but who finds solutions to them which are both reasonable and fair for everyone, for example climate change, income equality or global terrorism. And she is the only politician to have the guts to fight back against the attempts of billionaires and big companies to lever out our democracy and fight for voters' rights. I know that I won't make me many new friends with this ad, but I proudly support Elizabeth Warren and I stand to her and her values.

Elizabeth Warren
Mark Ruffalo is involved. Are you? Go to elizabethwarren.com and register yourself as a volunteer. Be part of the political revolution and be with me at our fight for justice, freedom and equality. I'm Elizabeth Warren and I approve this message.

"America shall be a country in which free men and women can make free and self-determined decisions. But when the system is pulling you down, when our corrupt casino capitalism makes you not being aware of your abilities, then a government has the duty to help. A strong government and free self-determination do not exclude each other, they need each other. That's what Elizabeth Warren fights for."

"It is our planet. It is our country. And it is our decision in which state we want to leave both for our kids. Do we want to give them a country with a government which is chosen by companies and not of the people, by the people, for the people, with concrete block instead of healthy forests and poverty and income inequality – or do we want to give them a country which is designed by Elizabeth Warren? Folks, the choice couldn't be easier."

Press Statement

In the United States today, six media conglomerates control almost all forms of mainstream media. Consequently, fewer and fewer people are determining what we watch, hear, and read — compromising our access to accurate and unbiased information. This dangerous development needs to be stopped. Freedom of speech is one of the basic values fought for. In the next days, MP Warren will lay out her plan how she will provide medial diversity. She hopes that due to this statement, this issue will get the attention it deserves.

Excerpt from CNN-Interview

Chris Cuomo
Deputy Leader Warren, thank you for following our invitiation.

Elizabeth Warren
Thank you, too.

Chris Cuomo
Let me first ask you, how is your campaign doing right now?

Elizabeth Warren
Well, to be honest, campaigning is more exhausting than I imagined, but it is great, it is tiring but it makes fun, and I love the conversations with all the people you get to meet. I have already traveled a lot during the past weeks, and I am not even halfway through the primaries, but I am optimistic that I will survive it.

Chris Cuomo
Deputy Leader Warren, you have decided to challenge the current leader of the Progressive Party, Mr. Bernie Sanders. Let me ask you, why do you think that the Progressives should prevent another term for MP Sanders?

Elizabeth Warren
(laughs) Well, this is not what I want to achieve. The whole primary process is not about challenging Mr. Bernie Sanders. The Progressive Party commits to internal democracy and that is what's happening now. Now we are back where we have been four years ago, and Mr. Sanders is a candidate like everyone else, and he has to prove himself during the primary process. We are five different candidates, we have five different concepts how we would lead the party, structurally, strategically and ideologically, and the members get to choose which concept they want to be realized.

Chris Cuomo
And what is wrong with the concept of Mr. Bernie Sanders?

Elizabeth Warren
Nothing at all. Bernie has made our party great. He has the great ability to put the finger perfectly on the sore spot to reveal what's wrong with our country. This can be quite embarrassing for the other parties, but that is exactly what we wanted to achieve. Now, the people know us, they know what we stand for and they know what we want to change. I want to be the candidate who makes the Progressive Party both a strong, self-confident political power and a reliable partner for future governments.

Chris Cuomo
How do you want to achieve that?

Elizabeth Warren
The Progressive Party has mentioned all the things we need to change. But so far, we have rarely revealed concepts how we want to change all these things. A governing party must have solutions.

Chris Cuomo
So, Mrs. Warren, in the last days, you have frequently mentioned the media consolidation as  one of many important issues, can you please explain why we need a change and how you want to achieve this change?

Elizabeth Warren
Of course. In the United States today, six media conglomerates control almost all forms of mainstream media. Consequently, fewer and fewer people are determining what we watch, hear, and read — compromising our access to accurate and unbiased information. Disney, CBS, News Corp., Viacom, Time Warner, and Comcas own 90 percent of all our channels on TV. This is a dramatic development which came up in the last years through the Telecommunication Act of 1996, which allowed large corporations to strengthen their dominance through mergers and buyouts. I believe that the American people has a right to have access to divergent sources of information, and that monopolies should disturb our freedom of press. I want the Act of 1996 to be repealed, I want to support local community-based media outlets, so they can make their own programming decisions, and I will discourage media market consolidation and create space for diverse and substantive journalism, while encouraging competition between cable companies in order to lower prices.

Let's just move ahead already. If you can't get your schedule in in the time frame, it's not the end of the world. Dar said so at the start of game.
