Has this information been corroborated with the mods or is this a hoax? It was fake when Kal's "death" was announced by a random "new" user, it very sadly wasn't when Mr. Morden's mom told us.

J.J. was an old poster with quite a lot of posts on the forum though, so if this is him, then it might actually be credible information.

I know who J.J. was, and I'd take this more seriously if he posted from that account. I don't know if he scrambled his password and left, but this "J.J. 2" fellow smells like a sock.

Quite true.  Now that I am retired I spend most of my summer in North East PA, which has a great course for an old fart like me - flat, fairly open, very well maintained. 

His signatures at Christmas were a forum institution. RIP.

His signatures had a way of making the forum very difficult to browse in public, but that was part of his charm.
