I'm not totally sure I follow, sorry. I'm no longer able to influence Indiana elections in any way, so I can't vote for Donnelly in the fall.

One less Democratic seat means one more Republican seat.  Mourdock would have easily voted for Gina Haspel's nomination along with a slew of other horrible things, like Obamacare repeal, which would have passed without Donnelly's vote.  That's all I'm saying.
