I'm okay with compromising on the flag issue and taking it to a referendum.  Just please keep the Harambe provision in the bill.  Pretty please.

Also, I'll note that I conducted a poll on most of the other symbols in this bill a few months ago and both the motto, flower, bird, and anthem received majority support.  The flag was much more contentious.

The former Northeast had regional symbols.  In fact, most of the people who voted in my poll a few months ago opted to retain most of the symbols the Northeast used, which is why they're in the bill.

Is having an official primate different?  Sure it is, but we're a special region.  And we can afford to have a little fun now and then.
