I do think NV is more winnable for Republicans than MI/PA and maybe it's neck and neck with WI/AZ, but Republicans have to work hard at it, especially at the state level

Wonderful news! Let’s hope everyone has learned their lesson here. Unfortunately too late for Sisolak, who was no doubt brought down by these clowns.
Sisolak literally instituted harsh c0vid restrictions in a state that is known for having industries that couldn't handle it.  He was doomed regardless

COVID brought our health systems (to the extent that they exist) to our knees for three years, and is still doing so. I agree that Sisolak's COVID response was instrumental in his loss, I'm just pointing out that it's very unfortunate that he was voted out for doing the responsible thing. It shows there may truly be no hope for this nation.

The American "lockdowns" did not help to prevent the spread of Covid in any meaningful way, and Governors who relied too heavily on them paid a deserved price at the ballot box.
Inb4 MUH Gretchen Whitmer!(Ignoring the fact that she was bolstered by a republican candidate who opposed an initiative overwhelmingly supported by the public)

Sisolak was the only incumbent governor to lose reelection
Doesn't that only further support his theory? Like I said, Whitmer had abortion in her cards to play and it worked. Sisolak didn't have that.

Yeah, most polls showed Whitmer in a tough race before she got the most incompetent possible opponent.

Really, the Governor who made this the clearest was Murphy, who was expected to win by 15 and instead spent days sweating out a victory. Some states were definitely too Blue for it to actually flip the race, but it had an impact just about everywhere.

Just prior to this, Gavin Newsom won the largest victory for a Democrat in California history after a campaign that was entirely about his handling of the pandemic. I have made it clear many times on this forum that I did not like the restrictions that Democratic governors imposed, but there is no evidence that these restrictions hurt them at the ballot box. The obvious conclusion is that the scope of restrictions had no particular electoral impact.
Newsoms opponent was a right wing clown that wanted to abolish the minimum wage.  The GOP had no chance with him

I would have expected MLG to do worse though
