Clinton absolutely steamrolled Trump. I didn't think he was going to fail that spectacularly tonight.
No kidding; I had low expectations for Trump, and he managed to underachieve those. Clinton was very good, especially as the debate went on, maneuvering Trump and knocking him off-balance.
I don't know how it will actually affect the polls; I wouldn't think debates in 2016 would have a huge effect on the polls, but the first debate in 2012 had a bigger effect than I thought. It was a different situation though, a challenger looking good on the same stage as an incumbent President.
