If Lieberman loses the Democratic primary, it would be very hard for him to make it on the ballot as an independent.

He would need to collect 30,000 signatures of registered CT voters ready the first day after the primary.

I really hope Lamont beats him and we can finally be rid of "Sean Hannity's favorite Democrat".

Lieberman is such a coward that he will likely switch to independent before the Democratic primary rolls around. He is scared to death of losing to Lamont.

Lieberman is known as one of the most arrogant and elitist politicians in Washington. The guy has a serious case of beltway-itis. He is very out of touch with the ordinary Connecticut citizen.

And I suppose a millionnaire would be any less elitist?  Roll Eyes

Lamont actually has a spine and cares about working people. Lieberman would sell out his own mother if the GOP wanted.

A rich candidate is the only type of candidate that could seriously challenge Lieberman.

If you don't like it, support public financing of elections.

Only in the warped mind of a right-winger are policies like raising the minimum wage, fair trade, and universal health care considered "elitist".

Yet tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy, corporate welfare, and unfettered free trade are not "elitist".
