The only good thing about this straw poll is Warner coming in a good third.

By the way, what exactly is a "straw poll"? Who are the people polled?

If he does decide to run (which IMHO would be a mistake) Warner would probably stand a very good shot at wining SC

Why do you think it would be a mistake?

[There was some polling that pointed to that as well.  Wonder why that its?

In Rasmussen polls, Allen leads Warner 47-43 for the Senate and Warner leads Allen 46-41 for the presidency.

My theory? Virginians like Allen personally but don't trust him as much in an executive position. Warner has been more successful as governor than Allen was.
