In addition to our insane gun culture, why aren't incidents like this recognized as gender-based violence by men against women? You rarely see a woman shooting her ex and then committing suicide.

Men don't like to point the finger at themselves. And it's still white males who are in the dominant positions of power.

On another note, it's such a shame that little kids have to see this type of violence and have to drag that baggage with them for the rest of their lives. So sad.

Why can't these mentally ill people go off and kill themselves quietly? Why do they have to drag other people into their problems?

No parent should have this happen to them that their little child is killed because they were attending school.
