So at the time Trump thought the Clinton foundation was outstanding enough to donate money to.
Now he says it's the worst most corrupt charity organization in history.
This is his usual mentally unbalanced modus operandi in action, and people want this guy for President.
<rolls eyes>
That's kind of an unfair argument. Bogus charities certainly exist, with donors granting millions to what prove to be little more than money laundering outfits.
Beyond the issue of throwing money away to criminal charities, people can still regret donating to charities espousing beliefs that no longer reflect their own values. People have the right to change their minds after reassessing the priorities in their lives.
Granted, Donald Trump has deeply abused that privilege (I can't speculate on the reasons why Trump donated to the CF, but Trump himself has given no arguments on why he made the initial donation in the first place), but I still think this whole insistence on "flip-flopping" and ideological purity for people running for office is silly, and even poisonous to the way our election system operates.
You are being too kind to Trump.
The Clinton Foundation is by no means a bogus organization. Anyone can do the research. (I just started a thread on the General News forum about it.)
Trump's motivations are so transparent it's not even funny. Now that he's running for President, it's inconvenient for people to know he donated to Hillary's foundation, so he has to trash it to make himself look good.
I don't mind politicians flip-flopping...I think it's a good thing because it shows that people learn new information and grow with it.
The problem with Trump is that he flip-flops daily. That is not admirable behavior, it is mentally unbalanced behavior.
