I'm opposed to the death penalty, but only because I can think of far worse punishments.

I am opposed to the death penalty on the grounds that innocent people have often been sentenced to death, and thereafter exonerated. I don't have a moral objection to the death penalty in general, however.

I echo these sentiments. Hard labor is the way to go, or some other form of public slavery (similar to the income tax) as I outlined in the other thread.

Assuming this guy is, like, 90, but I'm okay with the 50 year sentence, provided it's a really bad prison.
