Good thing that whites without college degrees are known for their propensity to turn out in midterm elections.

Not changing the map for this one poll, as it changes little. I anticipate other polls, though, this week.

Tennessee -- Gravis

Trump approval 54- 41

Do you remember when Tennessee was the most progressive state in the South? That's over even if you no longer consider Virginia 'Southern'.

When??

The 1950s and 1960s. It's completely accurate to describe TN from that period that way.

Interesting. I'd love to learn more. Is it because of the New Deal and its affects on TN politics?

Yeah. Estes Kefauver and Al Gore Sr were the most liberal Southern Senators of their time (with the possible exception of Ralph Yarborough).

Florida: Rasmussen, Sep. 10-11, 1000 likely voters

Approve 50 (strongly 40)
Disapprove 50 (strongly 47)

No flipping' way. Trump regularly gets about 25 on this nationally.

True, and it is Rasmussen, but ISTR we've seen Trump with some other high strong approval numbers in Florida from other pollsters.  I have no idea why.

Embittered, racist retirees that want the 1950's back.

Remember how bad his favorables were in 2016? Bad approvals don't mean sh**t if the media decides to EMAILLLSS the Democrat in 2020.

Only Trump could screw up a booming economy by allowing Democrats to pick up their biggest House gain in almost 50 years. Thanks Donny!

If he wasn't a moron he'd be around 50% approval right now.

He is such an awful person that it has overshadowed how utterly incompetent he is.

It's pretty easy to imagine a Nixon-esque "smart fascist" doing a much better job of accomplishing their goals. (read: dismantling liberal democracy). We'd be in a lot of sh**t if Tom Cotton happened to stumble into the Presidency and a cult following.
