Pence has been staying out of the mix and being a good (silent) VP for precisely this reason, so this literally will not happen.

Or at least the real-world version of this, which is much more about avoiding the viper's nest of drama and backbiting that the WH appears to be; not the last episode of Scandal or whatever else you might have been smoking.
