Oh man that's really great.

One of the better lines I've seen on here tbh.

You know what's the worst part about Moderate Heroes?

The fact that they thing being a centrist automatically makes them smarter and better than those to the left or right.

I'd submit that suburban and small-city voters who identify themselves with classically "rural" attitudes and economic/cultural interests make up a sizable chunk of the electorate, even though "rural voters" proper don't.

Needed to be said.

Yeah, the definition of an urban space in the census is still like, 2500 people in a political unit. A metro requires only 50k. I don't think that fits what anyone is talking about when they talk about urban vs rural political conflict.

re: whether or not we should applaud Bush coming forward to disavow Dangerous Donald

The problems that helped Trump become President are in no small part thanks to Bush and Co.

No, just no.

<snip> shopped picture of Bernie holding a cat

I'm definitely voting for the guy again but you can't say he's without flaws, not least the fact that a sizable portion of the party has been trained to despise him on a Pavlovian level. In real numbers this group is not that large, but unfortunately Twitter has a stranglehold on the media discourse, because that's where all the media people happen to be.

It's a shame that this got a perceptive, level-headed response that I in large part agree with instead of the frothing rage from the usual suspects I was hoping to get on the 2020 board.
