Voted non-binary because I misread the poll.

I actually think "non-binary" is the ONLY correct way to approach gender, since "male" and "female" are arbitrary roles that no real human being can actually fit.

why did merkel voted against gay marriage? is germany so homophobic that she decided to vote against because of election, or is it just because of her homophobia?

This is interesting, don't you think:

A person who thinks that gay people should be allowed to have civil unions but not marriage rights, would have been...

- A radical in the 1950s
- A liberal in the 1970s
- A moderate in the 1990s
- A conservative in the 2010s
- A reactionary in the 2020s

A phobia is defined as an irrational fear. Claiming that all people opposed to gay marriage are afraid of homosexuals is a ridiculous argument.

"Homophobia" is not literally a fear of gay people, despite the origins of the term "phobia." It encompasses a wide net of negative emotions towards LGBTs.

Though this:
I figure as long as I don't mix up North and South Dakota, North and South Carolina, or Virginia and West Virginia, I'll be alright.

takes a close second.

In general I think we should look at how FDR built his coalition. It ruled American politics for many, many years. It had many seemingly contradictory elements too. Conservative southerners, blacks, city bosses, white ethnics, working class people, liberal middle-class people...
I think we ought to try and harness the fact the GOP is inevitably going to alienate many people. We could, with measured, careful steps, integrate many elements into an anti-Trump coalition that will reject the misguided ideas of Trumpists. GOP governance is bound to have to deal with some unpopular issues; this is an oppurtunity given to us on a silver platter. We need to be engaging in coalition building. This entails welcoming people like Ossoff, and supporting them in elections. We need to be a united Dem party which is willing to work for the greater good. Once we've gotten enough dominance, we can leverage this to pass some needed reforms that makes life easier for workers, for society, for everyone.

I can see it happening in the next 20-30 years, if things go right. If the Republicans embrace Trump style politics, it's possible they can become the party of the working class. If they do that and embrace a more moderate platform on social issues (which the vast majority of young people have liberal views on), it is possible that traditional Democratic strongholds like Vermont and Rhode Island can become Republican states. In terms of Texas, I don't see it going Democrat anytime soon, especially if progressives take over the party. Even minorities in Texas are fairly conservative so I don't see Texas even being a competitive state for at least 20 years.
I don't think the GOP will ever truly become the party of the working class. It never was. It's always been the party of business and rich people. The interests of workers on one end and richie types and business on the other (in a country like the US) are almost inheritly in deep conflict, from a political perspective.

Long Term:  Probably a positive effect as it'd force them to create a new strategy.

Short Term:  PERRIELLO WOULD'VE WON CORRUPT DNC ARE MORONS INDEPENDENT BERNIE RUN 2020

My friend in high school told me she was going to end it all but got a message from me that distracted her and talking to me, about unrelated silly stuff, brought her to her senses. I found out about this like, a year later, but it was pretty heavy to hear. Guess you could say that was something, even if I didn't know I was doing it.

Been making this over the past week.
What were the rules by which I made it? And what apportionment method did I use?
Btw, you can decline to answer the whole question, and only answer one facet of it. Or more than one.

We believe our economic policies help the worker

The Aztecs believed that if they did less human sacrifice the sun would go out.

Is that a fact. Wonder where they got that idea?

In my defense, I merely suggested it to them as a joke. I didn't think they'd take it literally!
