Calling a religious Jew's desire to make aliyah in response to anti-Semitism in the West "crazy"? Really, BRTD?
Not crazy, but very weak.
There's nothing wrong with being "weak".
It's not even so much "weak" as completely illogical as the rate of anti-Semitic violence in Israel is far far far higher than in the US.
Also why has every other Jew posting in this thread found it crazy?
I'll respond to your question with a question. I have a very left-wing Jewish atheist friend who's strongly considering aliyah because he's concerned about white nationalism and afraid of the Trump regime. Would you consider him crazy as well?
Yes actually. Trump is many things, none of them good, but it's hard to see how anti-Semitic is one of them (especially considering that his daughter is Jewish.)
He may not be antisemetic(that isn't perfectly clear), but he definitely panders to antisemetic groups, hires hardcore antsemites to be his trusted advisors, happily creates an atmosphere that makes perpetrators of hate crimes feel backed and encouraged, etc. Antisemitism is going to become more common and commonly expressed in the next four years.
