Rick Perry is solidly in the second-tier in this year's field.  The Republican nomination belongs to one of Scott Walker, Jeb Bush, Rand Paul, or Marco Rubio.  I don't see how anybody else can clinch the nomination.

Try just above Vermin Supreme... Steve Stockman would have a better chance at winning the GOP nomination.

I was trying to give Gov. Perry the benefit of the doubt.

He had his shot in 2012 to be the serious Anti-Romney and he bombed spectacularly. No way he'll find any success this time around with a much stronger field.
