It may also be due to simply having nothing to do. Two summers ago when I graduated college and basically took the summer off, all I did was drink bourbon and sleep all the time because I literally had nothing to do during the day when I wasn't at the beach/seeing friends. I am sure Bushie is the same way.

That has a lot to do with it, as well.  I don't have anything to do, so 1) its hard to get up at 5:00 am when you have nothing to do that day and 2) its hard not to take a nap when there is nothing to do.  I think just having something to do during the day, i.e. school, will help me get back into a routine.  There is a lot to be said for a routine.

We took JJ to the vet this afternoon and she is doing well.  She is 18.2 lbs which is a gain of 6 pounds since her last visit on July 8.  We take her in for her third round of shots on Monday, August 19 at 16:30.  I get out of school at 14:15, so I'll come home and bring her back into the vet.  We will probably start obedience training next week.  We can go to the same building the veterinarian office is located in, which is actually a Petsmart Retail Store and they have obedience classes once a week for six weeks and it is supposed to teach the dogs not to jump on people, not to chew, learn basic commands such as sit, stay, go.  The reviews from the dog owners at the training swear by the program.  If we get started the first week of August, we'll complete the training in September right before we get her fixed and complete the puppy boosters.

Good Tuesday Morning!  I slept much better last night, going to bed at 2315 and waking up at 0730 this morning.  My goal for today is simple: NO NAPS.  In a little while, I need to go up to the main Metro Tech campus in Oklahoma City and turn in my financial aid award letter for the upcoming school year.  This evening, I need to open the church up and allow both churches who are taking our stuff to get the rest of their stuff.  I will likely be up there from 1630-1830.

All he had to do today was go check in on his financial aid and he 'postponed' it......probably to nap.

Yep.  Goal = FAILED.  As have been mentioned, I think its the lack of a routine that's getting to me.  I have too much time on my hands.  Once I start school, I'll have a routine and will be at school during the prime napping hours, so naps will have to be relegated to weekends.

Caffeine doesn't do a whole lot for me.  I try not to take any pills or chemicals herbal or otherwise out of fear of dependency. That's why I don't take sleeping pulls,  either.

Good Wednesday Morning!  I woke up at 06:45 and I feel pretty good today.  I am going to leave here around 08:45 or 09:00 to take the financial aid award letter to Metro Tech.  When I get home, I'm going to spend some time getting ready for school.  I'm going to spend quite a bit of time researching CAD.  I'm also going to spend quite a bit of time researching the place where my CAD certificate will hopefully take me late next Spring - Kansas City, Missouri.  I'm going to look at CAD jobs in Kansas City and other information.

I've already done that.  I'm researching it again.  Mainly, I'm trying to fill the time so I don't take another nap.

Good Wednesday Evening.  I had a good worship service this evening.  I'm just relaxing and waiting for the month of July to come to an end and the month of August to get started.  The best thing about today - NO NAP!!

It is August 1.  Mom and I are about ready to go shopping this morning for some groceries.  We'll leave here at 1000 and should be home in the early afternoon, maybe 1200 or 1300.  Tonight, we're going out to eat at Chili's (no dessert this time).  Tomorrow, I don't have much during the day, and there are two options of what I'll be doing in the evening.  I won't know until tomorrow.

Chili's is the first dinner.  The first meal of August was 4 slices of toasted raisin bread with margarine.

Good Thursday Evening.  We had a great dinner as a family at the Chili's in Shawnee.  This time, there was no room for dessert, which is usually the case.  I'm relaxing the remainder of the evening.  Tomorrow, I'm meeting some of the men from my old church for lunch in Midwest City at 1230 and still don't have definite plans for tomorrow evening.  Saturday, we're going to get out for an hour or two as a family and walk and play with JJ.

What did you order at Chili's, keeping in mind that, as it is not the weekend, you were not allowed to order something unhealthy?

Bacon Cheeseburger.  Thursday's can go either way, either be attached to the week or attached to the weekend.  Thursday and Sunday are the two days that could go either way.

Sometimes, it is as many as 5 days that we eat healthy...  I thought about a regular burger, but the bacon adds just enough flavor...
