Will they wait to call the race until the panhandle has voted, as well, are will they go ahead and call it after the peninsula is finished voting?

They won't call the race until the panhandle has voted.  This is the way it's been since the post-2000 reforms.  After the fiasco of the 2000 election, the networks all promised to stop calling states until all the polls had closed in the whole state.  They also don't release the full exit poll until all the polls have closed in the state.

So, the race won't be called until 8:00 pm EST/7:00 pm CST at the very earliest.

On another note, what are the weather conditions throughout the state today?  Will that smoke near Gainesville be a hindrance at all, or just an inconvenience?

I live just west of Gainesville- I don't think it will be a problem. I am headed out to vote shortly and will let you know about crowds...

Good. I'll be at work while you vote and report on your post, but I will check in with you again at 5:30 CT tonight when I get home.

This could be a fast counting night.  We're at 8% in and Romney is 52-25 ahead.

I, personally, am excited about a Romney blowout tonight. Smiley  Romney currently leads 49-30 with 46% in.

He won't create any job for you. Give up.

Oh well, I've already got a job and it's looking better and better as time moves on.  I'll put an update in my update thread tomorrow morning.

Mitt's margin is decreasing at least. He's not gonna break 50% tonight, thankfully.

There's still the possibility that the ARG poll will be true: That means Gingrich down by only 10 or so.

I have a tough time seeing that.

I'm seeing a possible 13-15 point win for the former Massachusetts Governor

According to CNN delegate counts, Romney will shoot up to 84 delegates all told with 27 for Gingrich.

Mitt Romney has 84 delegates according to CNN which is a little over 7% of the 1,144 delegates needed.

We all know Romney will lose an election this year. It looks like it will be the one on November.

We all know that.....except Politico.

On the contrary, I have no idea why people are already giving Obama the election when it's not even February.  Things are still not very good in the economy and if they continue where they are, I have a good feeling Governor Romney will become President Romney.

Gingrich had a horrible speech tonight.  I liked the fact that he started talking about what he would do on Day 1 in a Hypothetical Gingrich Administration before the Inauguaral Balls.  However, he was very ungracious to Governor Romney, the guy that just took him behind the woodshed.  A campaign aide later said he did call and congratulate Mitt, but he never mentioned it on air.  One thing is very apparent, Newt Gingrich is a very sore loser.  I can only imagine how he would react in a concession speech to President Obama.  That would be a "viewer discretion advised" concession speech.

I don't want a sore loser in the White House.  If by some chance he did rise from the political dead a third time and took the nomination, I would be enthusiastically supporting President Obama in November.

This isn't saying much, but (though hackish), this is - by far - Romney's best speech yet.

He is getting better with each speech. Imagine how good he'll be by the fall.

By the time he gives his concession speech, he might even sound like a human-being finally!

I'm thinking by the time he gives his farewell speech the week before January 20, 2021.
