The exit polls in New Jersey show the economy the number one issue for voters?  Who will that hinder?

My guess is the incumbent normally gets blamed for the economy, no matter which party they're from, so I'm wanting to say that this will hurt Corzine, especially if the voters are unhappy, which is likely.
