Cut detention in 8th grade.
I was given detention for flipping off a girl (actually she was a midget -seriously). That was only after she did it to me. Since the Vice Principle only gave me detention and let her walk free, I refused to go to detention. I was surprised when my parents actually supported me in that decision.
The VP tried to suspend me for this but my parents called and had a rather heated discussion. He dropped all punishment. Ran into the VP when I was in college and gave him a piece of my mind finally about the whole thing.
