In educated countries, spanking rates are lower. It's even true on your home turf. Look at which states allow spanking in public schools, and which states don't. Then look up which states have the highest and lowest rates of high school graduation.
If spanking is such an educated practice, it would seem to me that in European countries where higher education is heavily emphasized, children's asses would be red 24/7. But they're not, because people don't hit their children there.
