But comments like this show a combination of disrespect for the hard and dangerous work WV's coal miners have performed

The real disrespect is from the owners of coal companies, who:
1. Did everything in their power to stop regulation that would have protected the safety and health of their workers;
2. Did nothing to look after, let alone retrain, the workers after closing;
3. Kept all the profits while leaving behind economic decimation and uncleaned environmental catastrophe

The next time you want to lecture us about the way we talk about white coal miners in WV, you might want to have a look at the way they have been treated by the people who supposedly provide everything for them.  There's nothing insulting about recognizing what a terrible situation that is.  It's high time the people of West Virginia got something better.  And no, I don't mean false promises from a reality TV celebrity.

The Green Party promises nothing for the people of WV besides a decimation of their coal jobs.

I don't follow the reference (I'm not a member of the US Greens if that's what you're getting at), but either way, all leftists tend to agree that the best way forward is to provide aid and training to displaced workers, rather than just ignoring them and hoping that they will all get onto disability insurance which seems to be the current way of handling it.  The idea that there is a market for the coal that Trump is promising to get these workers to mine is one of the most laughably false statements made in this election.  So, again, feigning concern for these people when they are literally being scammed - well, your anger is misdirected.

"Doing absolutely nothing" would keep WV coal miners employed.

Not really.  Market shifts indicate that dirty energy is becoming less and less attractive.  Trump is proposing to artificially prop up a dying industry - the exact opposite of supposed Republican orthodoxy.  Regardless, avoiding regulations against pollution is not a long-term plan for West Virginia.  And your nonsense about "the Left" not caring about these people because they're white is over the top, don't you think?  Stop trying to pick at petty divisions.  People all over the country have been left behind.  It doesn't matter what they look like.  It only matters to Donald Trump.
