Yeah... Warren isn't going anywhere. I think she's managed to piss/turn off practically every D coalition.

What would become of her Senate seat?

Republicans would take it thanks to Gov. Baker !

I really, really don't think Massachusetts would elect Baker to a Senate seat, and he knows this.
How do you know what he thinks, can you read his mind? The truth is he can win, but ignorant hacks like you would probably get a heart attack by the tought of Massachusetts electing a republican for senate, so you guys make up dumb excuses while talking about flipping ultra-red states like Kansas, Montana, Texas etc,,.
I am 100% certain Baker would make this race competitive.

Go for it, guys. Why wouldn't Republicans have their own Phil Bredesen?

Not in today's political environment, and not with Trump as president for 1000% sure.

Her speech was good. She's definitely comfortable on the stage.

Calling it now, Warren will be the nominee.

Warren seems to be experiencing that slow, but steady and ultimately strong buildup in support, and, in terms of historical trends for successful primary campaigns, she's in the right position in terms of portion of support at this time.

You may well be right.

Populist rhetoric is so convincing. I swear I almost liked her after this statement. So many people are reigning in on it. Populism will forever be the perfect strategy so long as you time it right. Donald, Obama, Trump, Paul, Buchanan, and like 2 others, all literally say the same exact thing here.

The good thing is that she backs up her rhetoric with substance in the form of meaningful and detailed policy proposals.

I think that, if anyone overtakes Biden, it might be Warren. At least that's how it looks like right now.

Warren calling for "decriminalizing migration" which people here are going to say isn't the same as unlimited immigration for some reason.

"[...] if enacted, would give civil immigration courts exclusive legal control over immigration enforcement at the border. Under the current system, tens of thousands of migrants who cross without authorization, including some asylum-seekers, face federal prosecution in criminal courts and jail time before they get in front of an administrative judge, who decides their immigration cases."

It doesn't because it would still go through the court system. However, it would alleviate tens of thousands in costs to our government in processing these people. The current classification is no deterrent anyway.

You can view this as a fiscally conservative move, aimed at trimming costs in jail time maintenance, criminal court processing, and the like.

However, I understand that, given your history, you are more likely to completely plug your ears and ignore the point so that you can restate your own. As such, I leave this post more so that  other eyes can read and consider it.

Also, you did absolutely nothing to refute my claim that this is unlimited immigration. They go through a court. So what? Is there a limit to the number of people who will be allowed to pass through the court?

Is there one now as a misdemeanor that goes through criminal court?

He’s using the Pocahontas thing again.
What do you guys think? How do you interpret the audience reaction?
Is the DNA thing still effective and resonating? Or is it old?

Boring as hell at this point.

Y’all sound like Agustín Laje and all the Latin American reactionaries who complain about “gender ideology” right now, except you’re also making disprovable claims of objective fact. Here’s four examples of actual Latin Americans, native Spanish speakers, using “lenguaje inclusivo”. Uruguayan student union. Another one in Argentina. Costa Rican indigenous movement. And one in Mexico.

*Lenguajx inclusivx

That's not how that works, at all.

My support has been steadily solidifying for Warren over the last couple of months. I'm waiting to see her performance vs Biden to make a decision.

Warren is officially a socialist now. I wonder if that will fare well to many voters. I hope not.

Yeah sure, all Democrats are no matter what positions they have.  Unamused

This has to terrify Biden's team....

This would explain how Biden's margins already appear to be much narrower than Clinton 2016's.

This is great but I fear she might’ve peaked too early. Up to now Warren’s gotten pretty positive media coverage. Her competitors and the media might train more fire on her now.

But then the question becomes, what actual vulnerabilities does she have to be exploited? Their best bet might be on M4A, but even that is tenuous.

You assume that this is her peak, and I believe that it isn't. She has a lot of room to grow still, and she's not a flavor of the month candidate. She's been building a coalition slowly over months, and now the dam is about to burst on Biden.

Rewatching Kamala's exchange with Warren on banning Trump from twitter, I really noticed how easily Warren can sidestep an attack dog. Kamala had zero control and burned two minutes on glossing up the twitter account while Warren got to pivot to campaign finance overhaul. One reason my confidence in Warren is growing is that she's always implicitly demonstrating how she'll handle Trump next year, and I like her strategy. She understands it's about exposure and she never lets herself go off message as a result. Trump can spend as long as he wants calling her Pocahontas and she can talk about universal child care.

People are starting to look down on Warren's evasiveness but it's one of the things I still like most about her. It shows me that Warren understands the nature of right-wing media, the trap of arguing on Trump's terms, and the electorate's preference for a smart, canny nominee. Considering that the only three to rise quite a bit in the polls so far (Warren, Buttigieg, Yang) are also the three wonkiest/intellectual, maybe dems are most sick of Trump's constant stupidity on basic topics.

I didn't see this exchange. Could you post a link to it?
