Why shouldn't the internet be nationalized?

I support government regulations on the internet for fairness (net neutrality), however outright government control gives them the ability to censor it like they do in China, which is not worth the risk.

This -the last thing I want to see is an American 'Great Cyber-Wall' which is what nationalization would open the door to.
