The Senate just banned the words of Coretta Scott King to protect the feelings of a man it once deemed too racist to be a federal judge.
It's incredible to think that Sessions's racist history was less politically acceptable 30 years ago than it is today. The Republican Party has, undeniably, engaged in social regression; what's more disturbing, however, is how inconsequential that regression is to its voters.
