Looks like Alabama will get its first female governor
Wallace's wife was Governor a while ago, IIRC.
The only female Governor to die in office, actually.

Also, Ivey ran for Governor in 2010 before refocusing down ballot. Doesn't seem safe to assume she won't run for a proper term.

What are Sue Bell Cobb/Walter Maddox's chances at winning now that Democrats are really fired up? And is there any chance they team up?

Ivey is not a pedophile. Enough said.

She voted for the pedophile at her own admission.

Yeah, this can't be ignored. It wasn't "I don't believe the Fake News" voting for Moore, either. It was "He probably did it, but I'm voting for him anyway," which was way outside the mainstream.

A Cobb/Maddox ticket would be incredibly strong. I understand Cobb is fairly well-known and well-liked in the state, and Maddox rising fast.

I wouldn't say Cobb is particularly well known. I believe Maddox is more well known and more electable.

Really? Can you elaborate?

isn't the governor and Lt. governor elected separately in Alabama?
Yes.

Doesn't mean they can't run a unified campaign.
