David Clarke is a Democrat, also, is much more likely to wind up in Trump's White House than run statewide in Minnesota.
Wisconsin, not Minnesota.
And Clarke is a Democrat only because that's how he wins reelection. He describes himself as to the "right of most right wingers" and has attacked Democratic politicians and policies, and would definitely switch parties for a statewide run. But I do see him in Trump's White House rather than staying in Wisconsin politics.
Derp. Meant Wisconsin, obviously.
And yes, he likely would run as a Republican, but ... yeah. White House seems more likely. If not, I don't think he can even realistically get re-elected in Milwaukee. But we'll see.
