Actually, I grew up extremely religious (though Catholic), have a very religious family, and still consider myself in the (admittedly bizarre) category of Christian atheist so I'd be fairly understanding if not often in agreement with your socially conservative views. I haven't seen you bag on the gay people around here which is a good sign for my tolerance of your views.
Also you go to Stanford and I went to an elite public school and I prefer to talk to highly educated people not because they are better but because it's less boring/I have more in common with them. It'd more be your lack of class perspective that'd really piss me off.
Overall you're a pretty genial poster from what I've seen so I almost always don't mind you. The people on here that I want to strangle are the venomous hacks for one candidate/party.
