In his final act of corruption, Governor McGreevey is waiting to resign until the day that the deadline for a special election expires.

A "responsible transition", the reason McGreevey gave for waiting, only takes a few weeks. The Clinton-Bush transition was only a little over a month.

That doesn't mean he actually did what he's accused of doing. Anyone can sue, but it doesn't mean they'll win.

Shamefully, I engaged in adult consensual affairs with another man. - That is an exact quote from Governor McGreevey this afternoon. Have a little bit of knowledge of the situation before you spew your BS.

I like Senator Codey and I believe he will bring experiance and much-needed integrity to the Governor's office. However, he will be serving for 14-months, that is a long time to serve in the most powerfull Governorship in the country without the people electing you.

I have heard that the New Jersey Republican State Committee is planning on filing a lawsuit against the Governor to get him to resign immediatley, but I doubt that will be successfull.
