Will the nations longest sitting Governor run for President? I say he will step down in '06, and go out on the campaign trail. He's a moderate, so chosing someone far right as a running mate such as Santorum or Owens, etc. should help secure the base.
Although he is pro-choice, he is anti-Roe v. Wade which should help calm the fears of the religious right. It's his support of gay rights that will hurt, but if he lays off that a bit it shouldn't hurt.
