The problem here is that even if Greedo didn't create the first sock, he still created a bunch of other ones, and he keeps lying about it. In this sense, it's similar to how you can still be charged for breaking out of prison even if you were innocent of the crime that put you there in the first place.

What really bothers me the most though, is the constant lying. As if we're all just some dumb suckers that he thinks he can get one over on. Not too long ago, he actually PM'd me on AAD, talking about how all those socks were not his (his brother's - who just happened to quickly familiarize himself with Atlas), while that same night, he was logged into and posting on Atlas using a sock.

I believe the brother exists, but unless he held up a sign saying "I made nein numb", I'm still a skeptic.

Even that proves nothing, and I've told Greedo that. All it proves is that he was able to get his brother to hold up a sign saying that. It doesn't actually prove his brother did it. As far as I can tell, Greedo can't seem to understand the difference. He keeps acting perplexed that people won't take his word for it when he says he's innocent. I don't know why it's so hard for him to understand the situation. At this point I'm not even sure he understands the concept of trust and credibility.

I'm getting the feeling that people are taking evidence that his brother merely exists as a person and not a figment of Greedo's imagination as proof that he (Greedo) didn't create the socks. As stated before, it doesn't actually help his case much at all. But like I told Greedo, I'd forward whatever """evidence""" he has to the team (even if it 99.999% likely won't make a difference). He has yet to provide anything.

So how exactly is he supposed to prove that he didn't create the account? Unless he had some type of surveillance of his living room or something, we may never know.

I totally agree. We may never know. It's really difficult, if not impossible, to prove. Unfortunately for him, that's not on us. We're not going to do mental gymnastics to entertain his far-fetched theories. The prevailing theory was and still is that he created those socks, and since then, he has been throwing lies out like spaghetti on a wall to see what sticks.

Of course, another poster wasn't banned even after creating 5 socks accounts to use in forum games. The rules of the forum are being applied inconsistently.

Was it 5? We saw 1 distinct sock. It was suggested by the user who publicly blew the whistle that more accounts could be his, but they weren't all actually socks. People aren't usually perma-banned for their first sock infraction. It's usually a temp ban, or in UWS's case, we got creative and banned him from the games board he was cheating on.

So I don't see an issue there.
