I'd prefer significant new regulations to restrict telecoms from abusing the internet for profit, such as on data caps, which exist despite absolutely no need to have caps (except to squeeze money out of people), full net neutrality rules, price controls, line-sharing to increase competition, and easing local regulations that make it hard to expand network infrastructure in the first place.

As it stands now, telecoms have no leg to stand on when they talk about government regulation. There is a reason people hate companies like Comcast with a passion. These companies have been getting almost everything they've wanted up until Wheeler came along near the end of the Obama presidency. They have been milking Americans for everything they have while taking hundreds of millions of tax dollars and doing almost nothing with it. It's about time the tides have shifted. These corporations will still make a profit even in a vastly more regulated landscape, they just won't be pillaging America and making money hand over fist.
