Wtf if this had happened to a woman she would be considered a victim.

Why in the world would he have to resign over this, are people really that prudish in Texas they won't vote for someone who dates have sex with a woman he is dating?

It's not like people don't expect politicians to have sex and such, it's just that they are held to a higher standard and thus not expected to have their "private matters" disclosed so ..visually. Hell, it's not even good for average people. The fact is that politicians really shouldn't be sending dick pics or what have you because it's never going to be taken lightly by the public.

He did not disclose his private matters. Someone else maliciously and with the intent to harm disseminated pictures of him. As far as I'm concerned that should be illegal regardless of the gender of the person doing it, and the notion that we hold him accountable for the actions of someone he dated is insane.

But that's not even the point. Politicians shouldn't be sending dick pics, or making sex videos, and generally should be extremely careful with sexually graphic images of themselves. Upset exs and other leaks happen all the time to all kinds of people, but it's especially damaging from a politician, who is generally held to a higher standard - or at least that is how it is thought. You're right, it shouldn't have been leaked, but again, that stuff happens all the time, and he should have been more careful.

That being said, I dunno if he should resign. That's really up to his constituents I guess. Perhaps if it truly matters, they wouldn't vote him back in (although incumbency and partisanship usually override most matters).
