Why can't them folks just tell the truth for once:

It's not a Republican Senate's job to confirm Democratic judges. See, we've been using the federal judiciary to score conservative policy victories for the past decade+ and we are afraid that losing 5/7 of the last presidential elections will mean a long-lasting significantly more liberal judiciary that will put an end to our plans, so it's our job to obstruct as many nominees as possible so that we may hopefully be able to reverse this in November. Major court case backlogs and burned out judges do not matter when we have partisan interests in mind.
