It depends. Republican-controlled states would choose closed primaries and 2 week deadline because same-day registration increases Democratic turnout. Democrat-controlled states would obviously do open with SDR. My personal preference is anything with SDR, as that is very beneficial for voters.

I write this based on the assumption that SDR is for the general, too.
